Clocks

The Wickersley memorial clock is located on Bawtry Road between The Grove and Green Lane it was installed in this position in 1995.

The clock was jointly funded and presented to the people of Wickersley by the Wickersley Agricultural Show Society. A time capsule was said to be laid under the base when the clock was installed which included items like a copy of a local newspaper from the period together with some cups from the show information on the history of the show and Wickerskley Parish Council.

It is documented that the Earl of Scarborough cut the ceremonial ribbon at the official opening.

The clock is serviced and maintained on an annual basis to ensure the timepiece is in working order and show the correct time.
